Expanded Assessment

The Expanded Assessment is the second step in a series designed to provide you with the essential knowledge needed to build your business to Capital Compliance.

What We Do

The Expanded Assessment builds on the data obtained during the Fundamental Assessment by performing a full and complete patent search. An opinion of patentability is provided by a licensed and highly experienced patent attorney. Based on the results, a Patent and Engineering evaluation is performed by a team of engineers, most of whom hold Ph.D.s in their respective fields, to examine the aspects of the product, its patentable features, and any patent infringements, from an engineering and product development perspective. The G2 team also performs a market analysis to identify and examine the target market. From this work, the G2 team provides you with an analysis of the scope of success you can reasonably achieve with your business.

Why We Do It

The Expanded Assessment is designed to determine the extent of success you can expect from your business adventure. Where the Fundamental Assessment provides you with the “yes or no” data, the Expanded Assessment quantifies the data and provides you with the answer to “how much.” Perhaps you have a great product idea, but there just isn’t sufficient market space to accommodate the technology. You would want to know this so that you can apply your efforts to more meaningful endeavors. However, in cases where there is sufficient market and reasonable engineering to get your technology to market, the Business and Technology Assessment will provide you with the confidence you need to proceed to the next step.
